The cow room is so called because it is delightfully decorated with murals showing scenes from Usborne children's books, including the famous Usborne duck. Children vie for the chance to sleep in the bed next to "the eyes".

The room is suitable for adults too, and there is an ensuite shower room with a toilet. This room is open plan to the room below (the snug), and accessed by a steep open-tread staircase.

House martins nest just outside the window, and can be watched as they feed their young in the summer.
