The front garden, pictured on the right, is paved, with flower borders all around and a rose climbing up the front wall of the cottage. There is a bench for two, where you can sit looking up at the handsome church, and watch the quiet pace of village life going by. If you sit there long enough, you might even see a car go by!
To the rear of the cottage is a more private enclosed gravelled yard, with a pergola which clematis clambers up, and then cascades down smothered in blossom. You'll find potted plants, and herbs that you can pick to enhance your cooking. There are two outhouses, and in the left hand one there is the garden furniture. Altogether there are eight chairs and two tables. There is also a barbecue for the summer months, and for the winter, piles of wood for the wood-burning stove in the living room.
